A Catwoman Tale by Lauren Miracle & art by Isaac Goodhart
Selina rejects human cruelty, but sometimes it seems as though brute force is the only way to “win.” And if Selina is to survive on the streets, she must be tough. Can she find her humanity and reconcile toughness with her desire for community and love? Lauren Myracle creates a patchwork narrative that frantically jumps between domestic abuse, teen homelessness, self-harm, and found families, while also trying to serve its comic book source material and the traditional Catwoman-Batman romance. Yet while the overall storyline is at times dealing with so much the elegant and flowing art work of artist Isaac Goodhart, holds it all together. A beautiful piece of work that serves as a good and interesting read and also as a self help book.
