Friday 3^rd January –

• 4pm-5pm – ‘Modern’ format intro – What it is & how to build a deck. Cards from 2003 and onwards. A powerful format with lots and lots of choice.
• 5pm-6pm – ‘Modern’ format warm-up games
• 6pm-9pm – ‘Modern’ format Tournament – Free entry – 1st Prize of 2 ‘Throne of Eldraine’ booster packs. Promo card packs for top 8 players too.

 

Friday 10^th January –

• 4pm-5pm – ‘Pioneer’ format intro – What it is & how to build a deck. ‘Standard’ format cards from ‘Return to Ravnica’ / 2012 & onwards. A new format with plenty of angles on unexpected decks and overlooked cards! Let your card stash from the last few years work for you!
• 5pm-6pm – ‘Pioneer’ format warm-up games
• 6pm-9pm – ‘Pioneer’ format Tournament – Free entry – 1st Prize of 2 ‘Throne of Eldraine’ booster packs. Promo card packs for top 8 players too.

 

Friday 17^th January – EXCLUSIVE ’Theros: Beyond Death’ PRE-RELEASE EVENT at Gnash Comics – 6pm – 9pm – £26.50 for Pre-Release Pack & Tournament with prizes.

Play with cards from this new set before the street-release date! Your Pre-Release Pack contains 6 brand-new booster packs (90 cards total), a foil stamped Mythic Rare or Rare promo card, a die & a guide. Build a deck from your pack and play a 3-round Swiss Tournament with prizes (See below).

 

Sunday 19^th January – EXCLUSIVE ’Theros: Beyond Death’ PRE-RELEASE EVENT at Ashburton Arts – 2pm-5pm – £26.50 for Pre-Release Pack & Tournament with prizes (see below). Doors open 1:45pm.

Just like our Friday Pre-Release, only at Ashburton Arts with plenty of room for gaming! Play the Pre-Release OR pay £2 for a table and play any game you like; DiceMasters, Dungeons & Dragons, Star Wars Destiny or any you’d like to bring along!

Friday 24^th January –

• 4pm-6pm – ‘Draft’ format intro – What is how and how you do it. A level playing field with sealed packs of cards. Make your deck up on the fly before the games with your fellow drafters!
• Also: ‘Dummy ‘Draft’ format card-picking session. Just for fun & to learn drafting.
• 6pm-9pm – ‘Theros: Beyond Death’ ‘Draft Weekend’ Tournament – Take 3 booster packs, pick & pass cards with other drafters to build a small deck, play a ‘Swiss’ 3-round Tournament to see who ‘drafted’ the best deck! Prizes: 2 ‘Theros: Beyond Death’ booster packs for 1st place. Promo card packs for top 8 players too – £13.50 to join.

 

Friday 31^st January –

• 4pm-5pm – ‘Standard’ format intro – What it is & how to build a deck. The most accessible format, where everybody starts. Magic’s default format. ‘Planeswalker Decks’ are on sale to get you playing straight away. ‘Standard’ = cards from the ‘Guilds of Ravnica’ set / October 2018 and onwards.)
